JMS Energy successfully collaborated with Mortenson on a critical wind energy project, showcasing our expertise in comprehensive turbine assembly and electrical work. Our team executed detailed nacelle and section preparations across all tower segments, ensuring each component was primed for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nacelle and Section Preparation: We meticulously prepared the nacelle and all tower sections, focusing on ensuring that every piece was ready for seamless integration.
  • Cable Management: Our team efficiently lowered and bundled the rotor, stator, and communications cables from the generator within the nacelle down to the saddle deck. This process was crucial for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the turbine’s internal systems.
  • Splicing and Bundling: At each tower section, we performed precise splicing and bundling of the rotor, stator, and ground cables. This step was vital to ensure consistent and reliable energy transmission throughout the turbine.
  • DTA Terminations: We carried out all DTA (Dynamic Torque Analyzer) rotor, stator, and communications bundle terminations in the base section, ensuring that the system was correctly configured and connected.
  • Testing and Verification: To guarantee the reliability and safety of the installation, our team conducted thorough OHM and Megger testing on all rotor and stator cables. These tests were essential to confirm that all electrical components functioned properly, ensuring long-term performance and safety.
